I’ve always known I’d run my own business one day. Growing up surrounded by two strong, entrepreneurial aunties, I saw firsthand what it looked like to take charge of your own path , and I knew I’d follow in those footsteps.
In 2020, during a time of global pause, I found myself with a growing waitlist of family and friends asking for help styling and furnishing their homes. That was the nudge I needed. I jumped in with both feet, and Lisa Hunter Interiors was born.
What started as a passion quickly became a thriving business. Today, I work as a boutique interior designer and interior stylist in Melbourne, helping clients across Australia and internationally create homes that reflect their lifestyle, taste, and story.
My favourite part of the process? The final transformation. There’s nothing more rewarding than styling the home, placing the final touches, and opening the door for my clients to step into a space that’s completely ready for them, right down to the cushions and candles.
At the heart of everything I do is a genuine desire to make the process easy, inspiring, and tailored to you. I collaborate with trusted Australian makers and suppliers to deliver high-quality finishes, and bring a calm, organised, and professional approach to every project—no overwhelm, just beautiful results.

Hi, I’m Lisa—an interior stylist and designer passionate about transforming spaces into warm, inviting, and stylish homes. My career began in fashion and furniture buying, where I spent over 20 years immersed in design, trend forecasting, sourcing, and merchandising. I travelled extensively, developing a trained eye for colour, materials, interior layout, and styling.
But while I loved the creative side of the industry, I knew I wanted to use those skills to create something more personal, something with lasting impact.
Today, I bring that experience and perspective to residential interior design, balancing creativity with clarity, and putting people at the heart of every project.
